Boat unit
Boat unit serves as the central component of the DV Buddy localization system. Its primary function is to receive and display information from Diver Unit regarding diver position above the surface. It displays the diver's real-time position, distance from boat, azimuth. BU includes alarm signaling upon receiving a DU request to pick up the diver after the dive.
BU creates, maintains a list of divers (DU) involved in the dive session and continually updating it. BU configures DU technical parameters for communication BU-DU base on region settled in Setting menu.BU creates, maintains a list of divers (DU) involved in the dive session and continually updating it. Communication between BU and DU is realized through Blue Tooth and LoRa technology which is internal part of both units - BU and DU. BU is able to communicate with many assigned DU, typically tenths of DU per one BU.

On the top status bar are indications for WIFI, GPS, battery status, and display backlight.

New session - Creating a new diving session. This operation will end and delete the data from the previous session and create a new, empty session for the next dive
