Diver unit
The diver's unit has a transmitter communicating with the ship's unit and a GPS receiver. The unit is worn by a diver during the dive (on the shoulder /in the jacket pocket/on the hand). At the end of the dive, the diver moves the control wheel to the "emergence" position, the GPS device determines the position and sends it to the ship using a radio signal. In the case of large waves, the device is equipped with an accelerometer, which ensures that the signal is sent only on the back of the wave.
The unit floats on the surface, so you don't have to worry about losing it. The e-ink display with icons is visible in direct sunlight, the control (wheel) for selecting functions has simple operation, and for even greater safety, the unit is also equipped with a flashlight and a small knife.
Built-in sensors in collaboration with dvbuddy.com provide detailed dive data and generate an electronic logbook. The portal will thus become a community of divers who will be able to share their diving experiences, photos, videos, tips and advice, etc. through the portal. From the diver's unit we can download via bluetooth to the portal, for example, information about: dive depth, temperature, dive point (dive and GPS emergence), dive direction and speed, maximum wave height on the surface, rise time and dive.

Registration - Deregistration
Registration - Deregistration
This position serves for registration and deregistration of DU on BU before and at the end of diving. The diver attaches his DU close to the BU. Established connection between both units provisions proper setting of parameters and exchange of infor- mation needed. After completing the dive and once the diver is on the boat, deregistration is done by attaching the DU to the BU.
List of icons appearing on display:
-
BU Registration / Deregistration - waiting for connectivity with BU
-
BU - DU connectivity established, exchange of information done
-
DU Deregistration from DU (session) done, diver back on the boat
Dive completed - return to boat
Dive completed - return to boat
Request for pickup after completing the dive and return to boat. After switching to this position, the DU begins to transmit a pickup request to the BU.
