How did it all started?
Today, we want to share a little bit of our history with you! The first idea for the DV BUDDY system arose, of course, during diving....
A group of divers enjoyed a week long cruise on a dive boat, they deployed a buoy after each dive and the boat that was always nearby found them without any problem - the sea was not stormy and the visibility was also good.
In one spot, however, were really strong currents, which were expected, but unfortunately, after about an hour's dive, the current took the group almost a kilometer away from the planned surfacing location. After surfacing, the boat was nowhere to be seen, and it took about half an hour for the bout to finally find the group, during which, to be honest, the group's nervousness understandably increased to the point of fear.
Our wait at sea had a good end, but being separated from the ship and waiting at sea for a long time, which can be even more difficult when big waves or rain occurs, can sometimes end tragically.
The DV BUDDY system is the result of the work of some of the best developers and engineers, many of them divers, who share an mutual excitement for helping to make diving safer, both for a new divers and experienced divers alike.
